Luminous efficacy is a measure of how properly a light supply produces seen gentle. It's the ratio of luminous flux to energy, measured in lumens per watt in the International System of Items (SI). Depending on context, EcoLight home lighting the ability may be both the radiant flux of the supply's output, or it may be the whole power (electric energy, chemical energy, or others) consumed by the source. Which sense of the term is meant should normally be inferred from the context, and is generally unclear. Not all wavelengths of light are equally visible, or equally effective at stimulating human vision, due to the spectral sensitivity of the human eye
